Medical Massage
Clinical protocols that help your body heal itself—layer by layer.
Service Description
Medical Massage is a results-oriented therapy rooted in clinical science—not relaxation or preventive care. Developed between 1910 and 1930 across Germany, Russia, France, and England, it is a structured system of advanced massage techniques that serve as a vital component of modern medicine. Its purpose is to treat diagnosed conditions and support the body’s natural healing abilities. Unlike general massage, every session begins with a detailed clinical interview and functional assessment. The evaluation includes dermatome and myotome analysis, helping identify abnormalities across layers of soft tissue—from skin and fascia to muscle and periosteum. This layered approach is paired with precise clinical tools to treat the root source of pain and dysfunction. The practitioner addresses the soft tissue’s neurological origin, combining local treatment with reflexive effects to produce therapeutic results for both somatic and chronic visceral disorders. Treatment plans typically span 6–15 sessions spaced 3–5 days apart, tailored to the individual's condition. Each session includes active and passive stretching, range-of-motion (ROM) testing, and Manual Muscle Testing (MMT) to measure progress objectively. Medical Massage uses neuromuscular therapy and essential oils to improve joint and muscle function while stimulating endorphin release for faster recovery. Techniques include ischemic compression, myofascial release, trigger point therapy with vibration, segment-reflex massage, periosteal massage, and more. Modern Medical Massage education in the U.S. is shaped by Dr. Ross Turchaninov, MD, from the Ukraine, who has introduced over 100 years of combined protocols through ongoing programs since 1984. Allen T. Stanley now practices more than 70 of these clinical protocols at W.T.C. in Florida. **Note:** Treatment begins in the second session. Modalities such as MPS NeuroStim, cupping, or additional products are not included unless specifically needed. Allen T. Stanley, Medical Practitioner, CMLDT, CMMP.
